The Raiders (14-17) defeated host Thiel (21-12) by a score of
5-3 in non-conference action on Monday, April 23 at Packard Park in
Greenville, PA.
The Raiders trailed 3-2 after five innings of play, but
generated single runs in the sixth, seventh, and ninth to earn a
5-3 win.
At the plate, Mount Union was paced by shortstop Josh Faltot,
who went 3-for-5 with two RBI, and third baseman Nate McFarland,
who was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored. First baseman Cory
Slaybaugh also helped the Raider cause with an RBI triple.
Jimmy Enright (1-1) picked up the win after tossing 2.1 innings
of scoreless relief. Faltot pulled double duty and earned his first
career save.
The Raiders have the duration of the week off before returning
to action on Saturday, April 28 at Otterbein. First pitch from
Westerville is set for 1 p.m.
