Mount Union College senior/designated hitter Andy Warner (North
Canton/Hoover) was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic
All-District IV College Division Baseball First Team.
Warner, a career .364 hitter, is currently batting .358
with 13 doubles, three homeruns and a team-best 31
runs batted in.
Warner recently finished his academic career with a degree
in Accounting and Business Administration and a 3.61 grade point
average.
To qualify for the teams, a student-athlete must have at least a
3.20 cumulative grade point average. College Division
District IV includes every NCAA II, III and NAIA institution in
Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
Mount Union (20-17) is currently competing in the Ohio
Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by
Heidelberg College.
