Women's Soccer Defeated At Home By Ohio Northern

(ALLIANCE, OH)—Mount Union's women's soccer team was defeated by Ohio Northern 6-0 Saturday at Mount Union Stadium. 

The Purple Raiders drop to 3-9-1, 0-3 OAC and Polar Bears advance to 9-2-2, 3-0 OAC.

Angie Pisut beat senior goal keeper Kaitlyn Mallernee (Dover/Dover) to the post off an assist from Jamie Eiban to score the first goal. 

Stacey Barnhart followed up with an unassisted free kick making the score 2-0. 

Other goals were scored off headers from two corner kicks and two breakaway goals. 

The Purple Raiders best scoring opportunities came from sophomore Erin Roberts (Medina/Buckeye) who had two shots and junior Diedre Dick (Mansfield/Crestview) had one shot. 

Mallernee finished with seven saves.

Mount Union next plays at Otterbein Tuesday at 4 pm in Westerville.
