SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Wittenberg's Sheryl Chambers scored the game's lone goal, lifting the hosts to a 1-0 victory over Mount Union's women's soccer team on Sunday.

For the Purple Raiders (0-2-1), goalkeeper Aubree Lieberman (Cleveland Heights/Cleveland Heights) made 10 saves.

In net for Wittenberg (3-0), Melissa Gartner played the first half before she was lifted in favor of Cassie Lythjohan, who stopped one shot and earned the win.

Mount Union will play its next game on Wednesday when it plays at home against Westminster (Pa.).
