ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Alyssa Flitcraft (Alliance/Marlington) and Katie Etling (Mantua/Garfield) scored goals for the Mount Union women's soccer team and helped the Purple Raiders break into the win column with a 2-0 victory over Westminster (Pa.) at Mount Union Stadium on Wednesday.

Flitcraft escaped on a breakaway in the 68th minute and became the first player to score on the Titan women in 2010. Kylee Kolesar (Mentor/Mentor) made an assist on the play.

Etling added some insurance during the 81th, driving down the right side of the 18-yard box and beating Westminster goalkeeper Jenn Cantella. Jennifer Sprandel (Green/Green) assisted the score.

Mount Union's Aubree Lieberman (Cleveland Heights/Cleveland Heights) was the winning goalkeeper, finishing with a seven-save shutout. At the opposite end, Cantella stopped six shots for the Titans (3-1).

The Purple Raiders (1-2-1) will return to action on Saturday. They will visit St. Vincent (Pa.) for a 1 p.m. start.
