Box Score GAMBIER, Ohio—The Mount Union women's soccer team rounded out its non-conference schedule with a 4-1 road loss to Kenyon Wednesday night.
Freshman Allison Fouss (Lowell/Marietta) scored the lone goal of the night for the Purple Raiders (5-5-2) in the 85th minute.
Despite being outshot 12-1, Mount Union only allowed a goal by Courtney Hague in the 35th minute for a 1-0 deficit at halftime. However, Caddie Durrett scored a pair of goals in the opening five minutes of the second half and Becca Romaine added a goal in the 60th minute for a 4-0 lead.
Taryn Vespoint (Ravenna/Ravenna) made nine saves in 71 minutes of action for Mount Union. Jackie Podolsky (Canfield/Canfield) played 19 minutes in goal and had three saves.
Lauren Wolfe saved four shots in 81 scoreless minutes in goal for Kenyon (9-2-0). Anna Walley made one save and allowed a goal in nine minutes of action.
Mount Union travels to Marietta on Saturday for an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
