ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday.
The Purple Raiders split singles play with the Battling Bishops, but were swept in doubles action.
Krissy Hallett (Willoughby Hills/Willoughby Hills), Carolann Sterkenburg (Geneva/Geneva) and Alicia Kasunic (Kirtland/Andrews Osborne Academy) won singles matches that went the distance.
Hallett battled back for a 2-6, 6-3, 10-2, victory over Emily Kiourtsis at No. 1 singles.
Sterkenburg claimed her point at fifth singles over Mackenzie Conway, 3-6, 6-1, 10-7, while Kasunic won the sixth singles match against Mackenzie Keffalos, 6-4, 5-7, 13-11.
Mount Union (3-4) will return to action on Saturday, March 26. It will host Heidelberg at 1 p.m. in its first Ohio Athletic Conference match.
