MARIETTA, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's tennis team claimed a 9-0 sweep against Marietta in Ohio Athletic Conference action on Monday.
Courtney Adamsky (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) and Lauren Olivier (Chagrin Falls/Walsh Jesuit) recorded 6-0, 6-0, victories in their respective matches.
Adamsky bested MacKenzie Boyles at No. 3 singles while Olivier defeated Sarah Campbell at fourth singles.
Krissy Hallett (Willoughby Hills/Willougby Hills), Megan Czuchra (Mantua/Crestwood), Carolann Sterkenburg (Geneva/Geneva) and Alicia Kasunic (Kirtland/Andrews Osborne Academy) also won singles matches for Mount Union.
Hallett defeated Kristina Reed, 7-5, 6-0, at No. 1 singles while Czuchra handled Caitlin Cornell at second singles, 6-4, 6-0.
Sterkenburg won the No. 5 singles match over Sarah Snow, 6-2, 6-1, and Kasunic defeated Christina Tirpak at sixth singles, 6-3, 6-0.
In pairs action, Hallett and Czuchra teamed for an 8-1 victory over Reed and Cornell at first doubles.
Adamsky and Olivier defeated Tirpak and Boyles at second doubles, 8-3, and Sterkenburg and Kasunic won No. 3 match over Campbell and Elizabeth Malony, 8-3.
The Raiders will be in action again on Tuesday with a 3:30 p.m. OAC match at John Carroll.
