ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's soccer team snapped a two-game losing streak and posted its fifth shutout of the season as the Purple Raiders blanked Oberlin, 1-0 Tuesday night at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.

Ashley Kuhn (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) posted the game's lone goal in the 58th minute as she streaked down the right side drove into the box and put it past the keeper from five yards out.

Jackie Podolsky (Canfield/Canfield) had five saves to post her fourth shutout of the season in goal for the Raiders.

Mount Union moves to 4-2-1 with the win while Oberlin falls to 3-3-1 with the loss.

The Raiders are now off for eight days before hosting Pitt-Greensburg on Wed., Sept. 21 at 7 pm at Mount Union Stadium.
