DELAWARE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team saw its three-match win streak snapped with a narrow 5-4 loss at Ohio Wesleyan Wednesday in Delaware, Ohio.
After taking two of the three doubles matches, Ohio Wesleyan (6-3) rallied to take four of the six singles matches including a close 6-4, 7-6 victory by Lydia Tritschler over
Hannah Arvidson (North Canton/GlenOak) at No. 3 singles while Alex Webb rallied with a 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 win over
MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) at No. 6 singles.
Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) got wins at No. 2 singles with Arvidson and at No. 2 doubles to lead Mount Union (6-3).
The Purple Raiders open Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday at Muskingum at 1 pm.
