ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union women's tennis team encountered its first Ohio Athletic Conference setback with a 5-4 loss to Otterbein Saturday at Whitehill Tennis Courts.

Freshman Hannah Arvidson (North Canton/GlenOak) was the lone Purple Raiders to win a pair of matches. She defeated Cassie Brungarth, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3 singles and teamed with freshman Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) to beat Brungarth and Alana Cheplowitz at No. 2 doubles, 8-5.

Courtney Adamsky (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) and MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) also earned singles victories for the Raiders. Adamsky topped Christine Kuester, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7), at fifth singles while Jenkins earned a 6-, 6-0 win over Emma Krummel at No. 6 singles.

Mount Union returns to the court on Friday as they host Baldwin-Wallace in an OAC match set to begin at 1 pm.
