HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.—The Mount Union's women's tennis team swept through Alvernia (Pa.) on its way to a 9-0 victory Tuesday in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Krissy Hallett (Willoughby Hills/Willoughby South), Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover), Hannah Arvidson (North Canton/GlenOak), Megan Czuchra (Mantua/Crestwood), and Courtney Adamsky (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) all earned victories in both singles and doubles play for the Purple Raiders.

Hallett and Czuchra teamed to win No. 1 doubles, 8-4. Hallett took first singles, 6-1, 6-2, while Czuchra took No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0.

No. 2 doubles was won by Wise and Arvidson, 8-4. Wise was victorious in second singles, 6-3, 6-3, while Arvidson claimed third singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Adamsky was joined by Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson) for an easy 8-0 win in No. 3 doubles. Fifth singles was taken by Adamsky, 6-0, 6-0.

MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) had the final Raider victory, 6-0, 6-0, in sixth singles.

Mount Union (4-2) will return to action on Thursday with a 12 p.m. match against St. John Fisher (N.Y.).
