ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's tennis team defeated Baldwin-Wallace in a dramatic Ohio Athletic Conference win Friday at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders (9-4, 2-1) managed just one point in the three doubles matches, but came away with four out of six singles victories for the win.
With the score tied 4-4, junior Courtney Adamsky (New Philadelphia/ New Philadelphia) was able to defeat Whitney Yoder, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7), in the decisive match.
The No. 1 singles team of senior Krissy Hallett (Willoughby Hills/Willoughby South) and sophomore Megan Czuchra (Mantua/Crestwood) had the lone doubles victory of the match for the Purple Raiders.
Freshmen Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover), Hannah Arvidson (North Canton/GlenOak), and MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) also earned singles wins.
Mount Union travels to John Carroll for their next match on Wednesday at 3:30 pm.
