MASON, Ohio—The fourth-seeded Mount Union tennis team had its season ended with a 5-0 loss to regular season champion Ohio Northern in the semifinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Friday at the Linder Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

Ohio Northern (21-4) swept through doubles and earned wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles to advance to the finals against John Carroll on Saturday at 10 am.

Mount Union battled at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles before dropping both matches, 8-6.

The Cardinals advance to Saturday's 10 am championship match against top-seeded Baldwin-Wallace with the winner getting an automatic bid the NCAA Tournament.

Senior Krissy Hallett (Willoughby Hills/Willoughby South) finishes were career tied with former doubles partner Kacey Huff for doubles wins (53) and third in overall wins (103).

Mount Union finishes its season at 13-7, which is a five-game improved from a year ago.
