The Mount Union women's soccer team hosts Capital in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 pm at Mount Union Stadium.

In their annual Kick for the Cure game the Purple Raiders will be taking donations for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In addition, they will be raffling off baskets, selling t-shirts and baked goods.

The Raiders (10-3-1, 3-1-0 OAC), are coming into Saturday's game having a four-game winning streak snapped when they were defeated in John Carroll,1-0, on Wednesday night. Sophomore Shannon Evans (Newbury/ Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) leads Mount Union and is tied with Capital's Hilary Ells in the OAC with eight goals.

Capital's (9-3-1, 2-1-0 OAC) four-game winning streak was also snapped Wednesday when they were defeated by the Quakers 2-1 in Wilmington. Ells had the lone goal in the loss for the Crusaders.

This is the 24th meeting between the two teams with Capital holding a 12-8-3 lead in the series. In last years meeting Mount Union snapped an eight game losing streak against the Crusaders, defeating Capital 2-1 in Columbus, with Evans having the game winning goal.

Mount Union will remain at home on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7 pm to host Muskingum, before returning to the road against Otterbein (Oct. 26) and Baldwin Wallace (Oct. 30).
