BEREA, Ohio - - Mount Union's women's tennis team defeated Baldwin Wallace 6-3 in an Ohio Athletic Conference tennis match Saturday afternoon  at the "Pop" Collins Courts in Berea, Ohio. 

With the victory, Mount Union improves to 8-4 overall and 2-1 in the OAC while Baldwin Wallace falls to 4-8 overall and 1-1 in the conference. 

The Purple Raiders won four of the six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches. 

Sophomores Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson were each pushed to a third set in their singles match but both recorded wins on the afternoon. 

Wise defeated Kelsey Blatt 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the no. 2 singles match and Dowling defeated Mackenzie Donalson 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 in the no. 4 singles match. 

Dowling and Wise were paired together in the no. 3 doubles match as they defeated Donalson and Whitney Yoder 8-2. 

Juniors Megan Czuchra (Mantua/Crestwood) and Lauren Olivier (Mantua/Crestwood) both recorded two victories on the day. Czuchra defeated Morgan Baker in the no. 3 singles match 6-4, 6-2 and Olivier defeated Mackenzi Baker in the no. 6 singles match 7-6, 6-4.  Czuchra and Olivier were paired together in the no. 2 doubles match as they defeated Baker and Baker 8-2. 

Mount Union returns to action Tuesday when it hosts John Carroll at 3:30 p.m.
