MASON, Ohio - - The number three seed Mount Union women's tennis team saw its season come to an end with a 5-3 loss to the number two seed Otterbein in an Ohio Athletic Conference tournament semifinal Friday afternoon at the Lindner Tennis Center.
With the victory, Otterbein improves to 18-4 while Mount Union ends its season with a 14-6 record.
Megan Czuchra (Mantua/Crestwood) recorded two of the Raiders three points in the match. Czuchra defeated Alana Cheplowitz 6-4, 6-3 in the number three singles match and was paired with Lauren Olivier (Chagrin Falls/Walsh Jesuit) as they defeated Emma Krummel and Adrian Leatherwood 9-7 in the number two doubles match.
Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson) recorded a third point in the number three doubles match as they defeated Emily Harper and Kelsey Leachko 8-4.
Otterbein advances to the championship match tomorrow at 2:00 pm where it will face the number one seed Ohio Northern.
