The Mount Union women's soccer team travels to Grove City, Pa. as they face-off against Grove City College Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. in non-conference soccer action.
The Purple Raiders (6-1-1) are coming off a 1-0 victory at Geneva College.
Raiders goalkeeper junior Maria Favorite (Chesterland/ Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) won her fifth shutout game, which is a career high.
Mount Union is led in scoring by sophomore Shannon Evans (Newbury/ Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) who has five goals on the season.
The Wolverines (2-4-1) are coming off a 1-1 two overtime draw with John Carroll. They are led in scoring by Sam Weber who has three goals.
In Mount Union's and Grove City's last meeting in 2012, the Wolverines defeated the Raiders 2-1 in overtime in Alliance where Evans had the lone goal for the Raiders.
Following Wednesday's match, the Raiders travel to Waynesburg, Pa. for their final non-conference match-up at 1 p.m. against Waynesburg on Saturday, Sept. 28.
