Mount Union (12-5, 5-3 OAC) got on the board first when Kelsey Malenic (Poland/Poland Seminary) scored the game winning goal after cleaning up a scramble in the box earning the only goal of the first half.
Senior Gina Wall (Warren/Howland) scored the lone goal of the second half from 15 yards out at the 62:49 mark as Mount Union shutout the Blue Streaks 2-0.
John Carroll falls to 10-4-3, 4-2-2 in the OAC after being outshot by the Purple Raiders, 14-11.
Senior Maria Favorite (Chesterland/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) earned her eighth shutout moving her career total to 22 shutouts making seven saves on the night.
Mount Union competes in the final game of the regular season as they travel to Otterbein Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 pm.
