SCOUTING MOUNT UNION
The Purple Raiders are 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the OAC after falling to defending league champions, Capital 3-0 last weekend.
Mount Union is led in scoring by junior Kelsey Malenic (Poland/Poland Seminary) with six goals and ranked sixth in the conference in scoring. Freshman Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Falls/St. Vincent-St. Mary) leads the team with three assists on the season.
Senior goal keeper Maria Favorite (Chesterland/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) leads the Raiders in the net posting 67 saves in 958:26 minutes of play which is third in the OAC in saves.
SCOUTING OHIO NORTHERN
The Polar Bears are 5-5-1 overall and 1-1 in the OAC after defeating Wilmington 3-0 Wednesday.
Anna Niemeyer leads Ohio Northern with 10 points on the season (4G, 2A) while Emily Brodict has 11 starts in the net with 58 saves in 1021:44 minutes of play.
THE SERIES
It is the 27th meeting between the two teams with Ohio Northern leading the series 17-7-2 with Mount Union last defeating the Polar Bears October 5, 2013 3-1, breaking a nine-game losing streak.
