ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team won its fourth straight and kept in the Ohio Athletic Conference title race with a 9-0 win over Capital Saturday at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders are now 10-1 overall and 4-1 in the OAC while Capital falls to 1-7 overall and 1-4 in the OAC.
Junior Hannah Arvidson (North Canton/GlenOak) teamed with senior Lauren Olivier (Chagrin Falls/Walsh Jesuit) to win No. 2 doubles as Mount Union swept the three doubles points, then she scored a hard fought three-set win at No. 2 singles to help the Raiders to the shutout victory.
Mount Union returns to action Wednesday, April 16 at 3:30 pm at Muskingum in New Concord.
