ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team dispatched Baldwin Wallace 8-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders have won six-straight matches and are now 12-1 overall and 6-1 in the OAC.

Mount Union can clinch a share of its first-ever OAC Women's Tennis title with a win over Otterbein next Tuesday, April 22 at 3:30 pm in Alliance.

The Raiders surrendered their first point to an oppoenet since April 2 as Baldwin Wallace (7-13, 3-5 OAC) scored an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles.

Mount Union did win the other eight points as Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) scored a straight sets win at No. 2 singles and also teamed with Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson) for an 8-5 win at No. 3 singles.
