ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team defeated John Carroll, 6-3 in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Wednesday at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders are now 7-1 overall and 1-1 in the OAC while John Carroll falls to 5-7 and 1-1 in the OAC.

The Blue Streaks took two of the three doubles points before Mount Union took five of the six singles matches to get the win.

Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) claimed wins in both singles and doubles to pace the Raiders.

Mount Union stays home to host Heidelberg Saturday at 1 pm in Alliance.
