Women's Soccer: No. 8 Mount Union Travels to Geneva (Pa.) Saturday

ALLIANCE, Ohio-- No. 8 Mount Union travels to Geneva (Pa.) in a non-conference women's soccer matchup Saturday at 2:00 pm.

SCOUTING MOUNT UNION

The Purple Raiders are 6-2 on the season and ranked No. 8 in the Great Lakes Region after defeating Grove City (Pa.) 2-0 Wednesday. 

Mount Union is led by junior Kelsey Malenic (Poland/Poland Seminary) with nine points (4G, 1A) and freshman Katie Goedecke (Cuyahoga Falls/St. Vincent-St. Mary) also with nine points (3G, 3A) on the season as senior goal keeper Maria Favorite (Chesterland/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) leads the Raiders in the net posting 47 saves in 697:13 minutes of play.

SCOUTING GENEVA

Geneva is 1-7 overall after losing to Point Park 1-0 on Wednesday.

Heidi Mann leads the Golden Tornadoes with seven points (2G, 3A) on the season while Anna Mcmullen has started all seven games in the net and posted 47 saves in 596:40 minutes of play.

THE SERIES

It is just the third ever meeting between the two teams with the series tied 1-1.
