The Purple Raiders advance to 7-2 while Geneva falls to 1-8 on the season.
Mount Union got on the board early when junior Kelsey Malenic (Poland/Poland Seminary) scored two minutes into the game off a cross from Gina Wall (Warren Howland). Malenic's goal would be the only goal of the first half.
Freshman Amy Bobonik (Medina/Medina) added to the score when she found the back of the net at the 57:56 mark making it 2-0 in the second half.
Junior Megan Werner (Mentor/Lake Catholic) advanced the score to 3-0 when she finished a corner kick by Carolyn Balzano (Poland/Poland Seminary) at the 84:58 mark. Mount Union outshot Geneva 28-4.
Earning the shutout for the Raiders was senior goalkeeper Maria Favorite (Chesterland/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) making four saves and finishing her fourth shutout on the season.
