DELAWARE, Ohio—The University of Mount Union women's tennis team defeated Ohio Wesleyan, 8-1, Wednesday.
The Purple Raiders advance to 6-3 on the season.
Mount Union swept all but one of the singles matches with MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) defeating Brooke Butterworth in the number one spot.
Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Megan Reichert (Ashtabula/Lakeside) each defeated the Battling Bishops in the number two and three spot.
The Raiders continued to dominate in doubles action winning all three slots. Jenkins and Reichert won 8-3 in the number one position as Wise and Alix Stein (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) defeated Alex Webb and Whitney Lomemann, in the number two spot.
Mount Union begins Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday 21, traveling to Otterbein at 1 pm.
