HILTON HEAD, S.C. –The Mount Union women's tennis team defeated Lebanon Valley (Pa.) 8-1 and St. John Fisher (N.Y.) 9-0 Monday, in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The Purple Raiders improve to 3-1 on the season.

Mount Union's MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) defeated Mary Kate Lemon 10-0 in the number one singles spot.

The Dutchmen took the number three singles spot as the Raiders went on to win out the other spots.

The Raiders swept the Dutchmen in doubles action, with Jenkins and Megan Reichert (Ashtabula/Lakeside) defeating Nicole Krakum and Lemon 8-2 in the number one spot. Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Alix Stein (New Philidelphia/New Philidelphia) defeated Lori Noble and Marla  Scacchitti 8-1 in the two spot.

Against St. John Fisher, the Raiders swept singles competition with Jenkins and Wise winning 10-0 in spot one and two.

In doubles action, Mount Union defeated St. John Fisher 8-0 in the second spot with team of Stein and Wise.

Mount Union is back on the courts tomorrow at 12:00 pm against Wilkes in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
