COLUMBUS, Ohio-- The University of Mount Union women's tennis team swept Capital, 9-0, in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday in Columbus.

In doubles action, the Raiders earned an early 3-0 lead Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Alix Stein (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) winning 8-0 in the number two position followed by Taylor Dowling (Canton/Massillon Jackson) and Kayla Johnston (Ashtabula/Lakeside) defeating Capital 8-2 in the number three spot.

In singles action, Mount Union continued the sweep with MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) defeating Ashlin Gable 6-0 and 6-0 in the number one slot. 

Wise also won 6-0 and 6-0 over Alyssa Trier in the number two spot. Dowling cleaned up the number four spot with a 6-1 and 6-1 victory as the Raiders went on to defeat the Crusaders 9-0.

Mount Union next travels to Heidelberg for a make-up match Monday, April 13 at 3:30 pm in Tiffin.
