BEREA, Ohio-- Mount Union's women's tennis team swept Baldwin Wallace, 9-0, in the final Ohio Athletic Conference match of the season.
The Purple Raiders advance to 12-5 overall and 6-2 in the OAC while Baldwin Wallace falls to 5-15 overall and 4-3 in the OAC.
In doubles action the Raiders gained an early 3-0 lead as MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) and Megan Reichert (Ashtabula/Lakeside) defeating Kelsey Blatt and Mackenzie Donalson 8-5 in the number one spot.
Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) and Alix Stein (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) also won 8-5 in the number two position beating Claire Watts and Mackenzi Baker.
In singles competition, Mount Union kept pushing forward winning all six sets.
Stein and Kayla Johnston (Ashtabula/Lakeside) defeated the Yellow Jackets, 6-0 and 6-1, in the number five and six spots.
Mount Union next plays Westminster in a non-conference match Thursday, April 23 at 3:30 pm in New Wilmington, Pa.
