ALLIANCE, Ohio-- The University of Mount Union softball team will travel to Heidelberg for an Ohio Athletic Conference, double header Monday, April 6 at 3 and 5 pm in Tiffin.
There will be LIVE Stats of the Monday afternoon game available.
The Purple Raiders (10-10, 3-3 OAC) dropped a pair of games to John Carroll-- 5-4 and 9-1-- Wednesday.
On the year, the Raiders are led by sophomore Olivia Schumacher (Gahanna/Gahanna Lincoln) who is second in the OAC hitting a .520 batting average and scoring 20 runs off of 39 hits.
Freshman Brittany Baitt (Painesville/Riverside) follows with 27 hits while leading the team with 15 runs batted in.
On the mound for the Raiders, junior Erin Simmons(Suffield/Field) is leading the team with 65.0 innings pitched with 32 strikeouts while being ranked seventh in the conference with five wins.
Mount Union returns home to host Marietta Wednesday, April 8 at 3 pm at 23rd Street Field in Alliance.
