NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Mount Union's women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 7-2 win at Westminster Thursday in New Wilmington, Pa.
The Purple Raiders, 13-5 overall, won seven of the nine contested matches as they swept the three doubles points then won four singles matches.
Senior Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) led Mount Union with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles and teamed with sophomore Alix Stein (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) for an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.
Mount Union will be either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in next week's Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament and host a quarterfinal match either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
