ALLIANCE, Ohio-- The University of Mount Union women's tennis team will host Marietta in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Wednesday, April 8 at 3:30 pm at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.
If inclement weather conditions occur, the tennis match will move indoors to the Peterson Field House at 3:30 pm.
The Purple Raiders are 7-5 overall (1-2 OAC) coming off a 6-3 lose to John Carroll last week. Marietta is 2-9 overall (1-2 OAC) coming off a 2-5 loss to Fairmont State Monday.
Against John Carroll, Mount Union split the singles competition winning the first three positions with MacKenzie Jenkins (North Hampton/Northwestern) winning in the number one position, Mandy Wise (North Canton/Hoover) winning the number two position and Megan Reichert(Ashtabula/Lakeside) defeating the Blue Streaks in the number three position.
In doubles action, John Carroll swept the Raiders, 9-7, 9-8, and 8-4.
Mount Union next travels to Capital for an OAC match Saturday, April 11 at 1 pm in Columbus.
