Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team falls in their season opener 3-0 to Wooster College.
The Fighting Scots (1-0) struck first at the 13:46 mark on a goal by Harper Jones to give Wooster an early 1-0 lead.
The Purple Raiders had chances in the first half to put a goal on the board but couldn't capitalize on some early opportunities as they went into the locker room down 1-0.
Wooster came out in the second half and scored two goals separated by just two minutes with a Lauren Hancher goal in the 69th minute and then a Devin Frisby goal in the 71st minute as the Fighting Scots went on to defeat the Purple Raiders.
Mount Union (0-1) next travels to Denison on Saturday, September 5 at 1 PM.
