WOOSTER, Ohio- Mount Union's women's tennis team defeats Wooster 8-1 in a non conference match Friday at Wooster.

The Purple Raiders advance to 2-0 on the season.

The Raiders won two of their three doubles matches, Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) and Megan Reichert (Ashtabula/Lakside) won 8-0 in the No. 1 position while Anna Nelson (Aurora/Aurora) and Christina Nelson (Aurora/Aurora) defeated Wooster 8-2 in the No. 2 position.

Mount Union swept the singles matches with Groves and Reichert winning the No.1 and No. 2  positions.

Mount Union hosts Westminster (Pa.) Friday, October 3 at 3:30 pm at the Whitehill Tennis Courts.
