Box Score

ALLIANCE, Ohio--The Mount Union women's soccer team tied Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Otterbein 0-0 in a double overtime game at Mount Union Stadium Saturday afternoon, advancing the team's unbeaten streak to an all-time team record of eight games.

The Purple Raiders' eight-game unbeaten streak breaks the previous Mount Union women's soccer record, set at seven games and dating back to the 1988 inaugural season.

Mount Union junior goalkeeper Paige Freel (Niles/Niles Mckinley) posted her third shutout of the season with the tie, and third shutout in conference play. Freel finished the game with 4 saves.

The Raiders finish the regular season with a 9-6-3 overall record and a 5-1-3 conference record, while Otterbein finishes at 10-5-2 on the season and 5-3-1 in the OAC.

With the tie, the Purple Raiders secure the #3 seed in the OAC Tournament and will host John Carroll University on Tuesday, Nov 1st. The game begins at 7 p.m.
