BEREA, Ohio—The Mount Union women's tennis team ended its season on Tuesday evening with a 5-3 loss to Baldwin-Wallace in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament.
The Purple Raiders finish the season with an 11-8 overall mark and 4-5 in the OAC, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 14-9 and 6-3 in the OAC.
In doubles play, Baldwin Wallace took the early command when they won two of the three doubles flights. Alix Stein (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) and Kayla Johnston (Ashtabula/Lakeside) recorded the lone doubles point at the No.2 position.
In singles play, The Raiders were able to win two singles flights at the No.1 and No. 6 position. Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) scored a 6-2, 6-0 win over Platt.
