BEREA, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Baldwin Wallace 6-3 Sunday afternoon at Baldwin Wallace's Pop Collins Tennis Courts. 

The Purple Raiders improve to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play, while Baldwin Wallace falls to 5-9 and 1-3 in the OAC. 

Sophomore Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) defeated Baldwin Wallace's Imani Robinson in first position singles (6-3, 6-1), while she and senior Alix Stein (New Philadelphia/New Philadelphia) beat Robinson and Liz Radkiewicz 8-2 in first doubles to earn points for the Raiders.

Most notably, sophomore Megan Marsh (Marysville/Marysville) won her singles match in position six (7-5, 6-1) to earn the fifth match point for the Raiders and ultimately secure a win for the team. 

Mount Union travels to University Heights, Ohio on Tuesday, April 11 for an OAC match against John Carroll at 3:30 p.m.
