ALLIANCE, Ohio--Mount Union women's soccer defeated John Carroll 3-0 to collect the first OAC win of the 2018 season.

Junior Lauren Beech (Hanoverton/United Local) tallied two goals while senior Nicole Lanese (Macedonia/Nordonia) collected her first goal of the season. Freshman Michelle Kissane (Amherst/Marion L. Steele) made one save in net.

John Carroll fell to 4-6-1, 1-1 OAC with the loss.

Beech scored her first goal of the match in the third minute as she headed the ball into the net of a Mount Union cross.

Lanese continued the Raider scoring as she tallied her 50th career goal. The goal marked Lanese becoming the new leader at Mount Union for all-time career goals.

Beech scored six minutes later in the 55th minute to add to the Purple Raider lead.

Kissane stood tall in net making one save during the match.

Mount Union stays home to face Wilmington Saturday, October 6 with a 7 p.m. start time.
