NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Mount Union's women's tennis team scored a 7-2 win at Westminster (Pa.) in their final non-conference match of the season Monday in New Wilmington, Pa.
The Purple Raiders took two of the three doubles matches then five of six singles matches to improve to 7-3 on the season.
Mount Union was led by sophomore Sierra Beighey (Fombell, Pa. / Riverside), who scored a straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, win at No. 5 singles and she also teamed up with freshman Trisha Kohut (Warren / Lordstown) for an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
The Raiders next open Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday at 1 p.m. at Otterbein in Westerville.
