WESTERVILLE, Ohio - The Mount Union women's tennis team lost their Ohio Athletic Conference opener against Otterbein (9-3, 1-0 OAC) Monday evening 6-3.

The Purple Raiders (7-4, 0-1 OAC) were led by Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) who had two wins on the day. Winning 8-6 alongside doubles partner Kayla Johnston (Ashtabula/Lakeside), Groves also took straight sets in her singles match winning 6-3, 6-3.

Also with a victory in singles was Jordan Teaford (Canton/Glenoak). Teaford lost her first set 6-2, but then bounced back to win in three with scores of 6-0 and 6-4.

Mount Union returns home and will continue OAC action as they host Baldwin Wallace on Friday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m.
