HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Mount Union's women's tennis team defeated DeSales (Pa.) 8-1 Sunday afternoon at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Club.

The Purple Raiders (3-1) won all doubles matches with the pairings of junior Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) and senior Kayla Johnston (Ashtabula/Lakeside), Sierra Beighey (Fombell, Pa./Riverside) and freshman Gabrielle Wegener (Avon/Avon), and freshman Trisha Kohut (Warren/Lordstown) and freshman Natalie Fry (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) with scores of 8-4, 8-1, and 8-6 respectively.

DeSales (Pa.) (3-2) recorded their point in Kelsey Kazlauaskas's three-set win over Fry.

Mount Union will next play Catholic (D.C.) Monday, March 5 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Club.
