ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to John Carroll in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Wednesday at Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.
The Purple Raiders fall to 11-6 overall and 4-3 in the OAC while John Carroll is 11-5 overall and stays undefeated in conference play at 5-0.
The singles matches were played first to try beat pending inclement weather and Mount Union sophomore Jordan Teaford (Canton/GlenOak) won a set before losing at No. 2 singles. Teaford and teammate Gabrielle Wegener (Avon) also battled at No. 2 doubles in an 8-6 defeat.
Mount Union wraps up the regular season with an OAC match against Capital Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. in Alliance.
