GAMBIER, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's tennis team scored their first sweep of the season over Mount Vernon Nazarene (0-10) Thursday night from Kenyon College's Athletic Center.

The Purple Raiders (2-0) did not allow a single point in two of the doubles matches in the teams of Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) and MacKenzie Cavalier (Uniontown/Green), and Cora Shane (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) and Trisha Kohut (Warren/Lordstown).

In singles, freshmen Cavalier and Shane each also secured a scoreless set against Mount Vernon Nazarene's Ashley Weber and Aly Landis.

Finishing off the fall season, Mount Union returns home to host Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) Friday, September 28 at 3:30 p.m.
