ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's tennis team defeated Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) (5-4) 7-2 in their fall season finale Friday evening from the Whitehill Tennis Courts.

Senior Gretchen Groves (Louisville/Louisville) and freshman MacKenzie Cavalier (Uniontown/Green) each recorded double wins on the evening. Groves and Cavalier won as a pair 8-5 and then both shut out their Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) opponents in their final sets.

The Purple Raiders finish the fall season 3-0 and will return to the courts in February for their spring season.
