HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Mount Union's women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season, 5-4, to Lynchburg (Va.) Thursday afternoon at Hilton Head High School.

Lynchburg (5-0) swept the Purple Raiders (6-1) in doubles as Mount Union would score all their team points in the singles competition.

With wins was Jordan Teaford (Canton/GlenOak), Cora Shane (Cuyahoga Falls), MacKenzie Cavalier (Uniontown/Green) and Trisha Kohut (Warren/Lordstown); Kohut winning her match in a tiebreaking set.

Mount Union concludes their spring trip at Hilton Head Beach &Tennis Club with a match against Millikin (Ill.) Friday, March 15 starting at 3 p.m.
