GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Mount Union's women's tennis team beat Grove City (Pa.) on the road Wednesday night at the Walter-Zbell Tennis Courts by a score of 6-3.

The Purple Raiders improves to 8-1 to conclude non-conference action and serves Grove City (12-2) its first loss of the spring season as they were led by senior Gretchen Groves (Louisville). Groves accounted for two of Mount Union's six points with a victory in singles with scores of 6-3, 6-2 and in doubles alongside partner MacKenzie Cavalier (Uniontown/Green) with a final score of 8-5.

Cavalier was a also a double winner, defeating her singles opponent 7-6 and 6-2.

Mount Union stays on the road and will begin Ohio Athletic Conference play at Otterbein Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m.
