WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team was defeated at Otterbein, 6-3, in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday in Westerville.

The Purple Raiders lose for just the second time this season and are 8-2 overall and 0-1 in the OAC while Otterbein is 9-2 overall and 1-0 in the OAC.

Mount Union won two of the three doubles matches to take an early lead but Otterbein surged back taking five of the six singles matches to win the match.

The Raiders wins came at No. 1 doubles from Gretchen Groves (Louisville) and MacKenzie Cavalier (Uniontown / Green), No. 3 doubles from Trisha Kohut (Warren / Lordstown) and Gabrielle Wegener (Avon) and No. 2 singles from Jordan Teaford (Canton / GlenOak).

Mount Union is back on the court next Saturday at 1 p.m. at Ohio Northern.
