BEREA, Ohio -- Mount Union women's tennis senior Gretchen Groves (Louisville) became the seventh female in program history to win 100 career matches in the Purple Raiders 8-1 Ohio Athletic Conference win at Baldwin Wallace Wednesday at the Pop Collins Courts.

Groves, who has spent her entire four-year career at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, has an overall record of 100-41 with a 52-17 mark in singles and a 48-24 record in doubles play.

She scored an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles with partner MacKenzie Cavalier (Uniontown / Green) as the Raiders swept the three doubles matches then she got a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 1 singles to claim five of the six singles matches.

Mount Union is now 12-4 overall and 4-3 in the OAC and if the Raiders win their final regular season match Saturday at 1 p.m. against Capital at home they will clinch a home match in next week's OAC Tournament.

Baldwin Wallace falls to 4-12 overall and 4-3 in the OAC.
