ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 9-0 win over Capital in an Ohio Atheltic Conference match Saturday at the Whitehill Courts.

The Purple Raiders are now 13-4 overall and 5-3 in the OAC and will be the No. 4 seed in next week's OAC Tournament and host Baldwin Wallace in a first round matchup Tuesday, April 30 at 3:30 p.m.

Mount Union rolled through the doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead then won all six singles matches -- three in straight set wins from Gretchen Groves (Louisville) at No. 1, Jordan Teaford (Canton / GlenOak) at No. 2 and Sierra Beighey (Fombell, Pa. / Riverside) at No. 5.
