STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - Mount Union's women's tennis team defeated Franciscan 6-3 in a non-conference match Tuesday.
The Purple Raiders (1-1) claimed wins in two of the doubles matches and four singles matches.
Mount Union led by sophomore Cora Shane (Cuyahoga Falls) who paired with Emily Messina (Sharon, Pa.) for a win at No. 2 doubles then got a three-set win at No. 1 singles.
The Raiders close out the fall season with a match Friday, Sept. 27 at 3:30 p.m. against Washington & Jefferson in Washington, Pa.
